I'm still alive!
I know, it's been months since i wrote anything. I'll try to do better in the future. The winter training has been going very well. Especially my training in South Africa. We stayed there for 2 weeks in January.
Nothing better then getting on a plane and fly to where the summer is!! Too bad i got sick during the flight. I'll spare you the details, but it had something to do with my stomache...
It took me a day to recover but after that I was able to do a lot of work. Because the 200m indoor has been taken of the program my coach and I sort of decided that I would run the 400m. I know, you must be insane to do this without being forced to... (I apologize to all 400m runners, I am a weak person and just don't have the guts for it ;-))
But during my first training back home, in the freezing cold, I injured my hamstring (maybe my body decided for me that 400m really isn't such a good thing to do). Seriously, this really sucked, because I was eager to race. I have been able to do a bit of running this week, but only at low speed. And the indoor season is almost over!!
The Dutch championships are in two weeks, but I'm not sure if I'm going to compete. I don't want to take any risks and the "real competitions" are in summer, so there's no hurry. First I have to get that hamstring 100% fit!
